Corsair Launch 4K Gaming PC for the Living Room

With the Steam box and Microsoft’s purported plans to make the Xbox upgradeable, the line between gaming PC and console is becoming increasingly blurred. In that vein, Corsair is set to release the Bulldog, a compact gaming PC, designed for the living room, which outputs at 4K resolution and is VR Ready.

Corsair’s Bulldog will be available in two forms; a basic “DIY Kit”, which includes the Bulldog chassis, a Hydro Series H5 SF Liquid CPU Cooler, SF600 600-Watt 80 Plus Gold PSU, and a motherboard with Intel Z170 chipset, while the Complete System will offer a fully built, out-of-the-box gaming PC, offering parts in conjunction with “selected partners”. The DIY Kit is out now, priced $399, while the Complete System will be available in Q3 2016, which suggests the company is awaiting the release of NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1080 and 1070 graphics cards.

To make PC gaming more convenient for the living room, Corsair has also unveiled the Lapdog, which is a keyboard and mouse board combo designed to sit on your lap. The Lapdog sports an 11”x11” mouse pad, memory foam underside lap cushion, cable compartments, and a USB 3.0 hub for connecting controllers, headsets, or flash drives. While the Lapdog looks impressive, its aesthetic convenience come at a hefty cost: $249.98.
