Nostradamus May Have Predicted The Rise Of Cryptocurrencies

Nostradamus

Nostradamus was, if nothing else, a curious fellow. In the 16th Century, he wrote various books of predictions, many of which people believe to have come true. There is just one little problem with his predictions, they are so vague that they could be applied to almost anything.

I’m sure if I dug deep enough I could find a reference to Ryzen somewhere and in addition, even possibly sex robots.

One member of the Reddit community believes he may have found proof of a new prediction. Despite being written over 500 years ago, Reddit user Viper2097 believes that he has found proof that Nostradamus predicted cryptocurrencies.

While I am sure he is delighted with this discovery, he does acknowledge the whole dubious nature of it. As such in a report via Metro, the post begins with the line: ‘Ok, that (this) may be a bit of a stretch but honestly, Check THIS OUT!’

The prediction!

Taken from his Prophecies book, the prediction speaks of fallen nations and a new form of money which comes from the ashes.

The prediction reads: “Alas, how we will see a great nation sorely troubled and the holy law in utter ruin. Christianity (governed) throughout by other laws, when a new source of gold and silver is discovered. Through lightning in the arch gold and silver melted, Of two captives one will eat the other: The greatest one of the city stretched out, When submerged the fleet will swim.”

He continues: “They will prepare idols of Kings and Princes, Soothsayers and empty prophets elevated: Horn, victim of gold, and azure, dazzling. The great credit of gold and abundance of silver will cause honour to be blinded by lust; the offence of the adulterer will become known, which will occur to his great dishonour. The copies of gold and silver inflated, which after the theft were thrown into the lake, at the discovery that all is exhausted and dissipated by the debt. All scrips and bonds will be wiped out.”

Personally, I’m not convinced. As above, I think that most of his predictions can be applied to a number of situations. In addition, I’m not entirely certain which nations have collapsed yet. Unless, of course, that is to come.

What do you think? Did Nostradamus predict cryptocurrencies? Is someone reading a little too much into this? Do you have your own prediction? – Let us know in the comments!
