Twitter has added the ability to put NFT on your profile picture
Social network Twitter announced the integration of NFT as a photo in user profiles. This opportunity became available to subscribers of the premium service Twitter Blue with devices based on the iOS operating system. Now they can link their social network account to a cryptocurrency wallet and choose NFT to use as a profile photo.
At the moment, the service supports only Ethereum wallets: Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, Rainbow, Argent, Trust and Ledger Live. In the future, developers may add support for other blockchains. Under the photo of users who use NFT, additional information about the token will be displayed: properties, characteristics, standard and pseudonym of the creator.
The fact that Twitter plans to integrate support for NFT tokens became known in September 2021. This was reported by the senior software engineer of Twitter Mada Aflaq. She posted a video that demonstrates a new feature of the social network, which is in development.
